1. Career Development
Negotiation tactics event.
Searching for a host -- reached out to Aubrey DeCarlo as a potential host or connector
Aubrey responded: Hosting the same type of event at this year’s Tri-I Career Symposium in June.
2. Advocacy committee
Communications with Housing regarding RI shuttle.
Should send out an email to all postdocs with these updates.
3. GFC update
Housing issues. Not being addressed. EC will meet with the Dean on Feb 26th. Peter would like to present all the data we have.
4. Social Committee
New chairs: Galina and Giorgia!
Next event: game night next Thursday, February 15th

Miljan mentioned that we should clarify that this event is just for WCM postdocs.
5. Mental Health Committee
Currently analyzing the data from the survey. Not looking good. Postdocs are stressed.

Calling for more volunteers to join the committee (currently only 2 members). Sarah helped us post flyers on Instagram.
Tentative date set as March 20th for next pub talk at Nisi (Roosevelt Island). Will be sending out an email by next week to the postdoc list calling for speakers.
Once we have confirmed speakers, we will get in touch with Les on getting small gifts for the speakers.
PDA meeting attendance for existing members (just Shuvra and Sanjeev) has been difficult due to conflicts with lab meeting times.
9. Diversity council
Panel conversation for first generation postdocs/students/residents
Dean Harrington attended the council and said that he’s setup a working group to address what’s happening in the Middle East and how it affects WCM employees

Meyer Cancer Center Education Program Manager reached out looking for potential postdoc reps to discuss:
educational/development opportunities
needs
feedback on education programs
PDA website needs to be updated with current chairs.
