Transportation to Weill Cornell Medicine & within NYC

New York City’s extensive network of 24-hour public transportation makes it easy to navigate to the Weill Cornell campus. The City is also very accessible, either through walking or through the expanding Citi-bike program.

Public Transit

The City’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) has oversight for the public subway and bus system. It is the largest public transportation agency in North America and one of the largest in the world.

Access to all MTA NYC transportation is via prepaid MetroCards which can be purchased at station vending machines and some neighborhood vendors. Fares are currently a flat-rate of $2.75 per ride for subways and local buses. A new MetroCard will cost an additional $1.00. Free transfers are available between subways and local buses.
