Upon Arrival

Upon landing at one of the area airports, there are several modes of transportation available to Manhattan or Roosevelt Island. 

a)     Taxi

Taxi service is available outside of most terminal buildings. There is usually a flat rate fee for travel into Manhattan, plus tolls and tip.

b)     Private Car Services

Private car services such as Uber, Lyft and Gett provide an alternative to taxi service.

c)     SuperShuttle

A shared van service which can be pre-booked at (800) 258-3826.

d)     NYC Airporter

An airport bus operator located at the ground transportation desk of every terminal at JFK Airport and LaGuardia Airport. They provide service to & from Grand Central, Penn Station and the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan. 

e)     Public Transportation

From JFK Airport, the AirTrain can be used to connect to the NYC transit system for travel to the Weill Cornell campus or Roosevelt Island.

From LaGuardia Airport, local bus service is available into Manhattan with transfers to subway service to Roosevelt Island as well.

From Newark Airport, the AirTrain will connect to the New Jersey Transit system for service into Manhattan’s Penn Station. Local bus and subway service is then available to the Weill Cornell campus or Roosevelt Island.
