Postdoctoral Associate Position - Dr. Apostolou's Lab

The group of Effie Apostolou at the Weill Cornell Medicine in New York, United States, is seeking highly motivated and talented postdoctoral researchers. We study the molecular mechanisms that determine cell fate decisions in the context of iPSC reprogramming, early development and tumorigenesis. Specifically, we ask how the interplay between transcription factors and 3D chromatin organization controls cell state-specific transcriptional programs. We use high-throughput  sequencing  techniques such as HiChIP,  HiC,  ChIP-seq, PRO-seq and single-cell RNA-seq, as well as high-resolution microscopy and CRISPR-based genetic and epigenetic engineering assays.

We are located in a brand new building in the WCM Manhattan campus equipped with state-of-the art facilities. We are enjoying being part of an exceptional academic environment, full of collaborative interdisciplinary opportunities within Weill Cornell Medicine as well as Rockefeller University and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
We are looking for candidates with:

✓    Collaborative spirit and passion for innovation
✓    Strong sense of responsibility
✓    Excellent communication skills
✓    Background in any or multiple of the following fields: Molecular and Cellular Biology, Microscopy, Next-generation sequencing assays and Genetics or Epigenetics.
Please visit the www.apostoloulab.com webpage for a detailed description of our research goals and environment.

Applicants should send a letter of interest, their curriculum vitae and contact information for at least two referees to efa2001@med.cornell.edu.
