Postdoctoral Associate in Pharmacology, Dr. Michelle S. Bradbury lab

This is a full-time on-site role for a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Pharmacology at Weill Cornell Medicine with at least 2 years of research experience in cancer immunology, immuno-oncology, or a related field.

As a Postdoctoral Associate in Pharmacology, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Performing molecular, cellular, and immunological studies to assess the biological effects of engineered immune cells and therapeutic platforms.
  • Utilizing molecular/cellular biology techniques that include genetic engineering, expression profiling, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, immunophenotyping/flow cytometry.
  • Characterizing inflammatory, immunomodulatory, and immunometabolic responses in disease models.
  • Profiling molecular/cellular alterations within the tumor microenvironment using approaches that may include bulk and single-cell transcriptomics (scRNA-seq), expression profiling, and complementary functional assays
  • Examining molecular and genetic alterations in diseased cell populations and tissues following exposure to engineered therapeutic platforms.
  • Integrating molecular, transcriptomic, and functional datasets to identify mechanisms, biomarkers, and pathways that inform preclinical studies and rational combination therapies.

These studies will support identification and validation of mechanisms, biomarkers, and pathways governing anti-tumor immunity.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Applications are welcome from all qualified individuals with a Ph.D. and/or M.D./Ph.D. degrees in Immunology, Cancer Biology, Cellular/Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, or a related field (completed or nearly completed prior to the start date)
  • Strong background in experimental research and data analysis
  • Excellent problem-solving ability and analytical thinking skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Immunology, Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Pharmacology, biomedical Sciences, or a related field
  • Research experience in cancer immunology/immunotherapy or tumor microenvironment, with a strong interest in defining inflammatory, immunometabolic, and immune regulatory mechanisms influencing treatment responses.
  • Experience with molecular and cellular biology techniques, including gene and protein expression profiling, qRT-PCR, IHC, IF, flow cytometry/immunophenotyping, and advanced imaging approaches.
  • Experience with bulk or single-cell transcriptomic analyses (including scRNA-seq), spatial profiling, or other high-dimensional molecular approaches is highly desirable.
  • Experience with in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo immunological models and functional immune assays.
  • Experience with nanomaterials, biomaterials, engineered therapeutic platforms, or translational immunotherapy research is desirable but not required.
  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in data interpretation and scientific writing.

Application Process:

Interested candidates should email their C.V., a statement of research experience and career goals, contact information for three references (including their phone number and email address) to msb2006@med.cornell.edu
