Postdoctoral Position in HIV Molecular Virology and Bioinformatics

The lab of Dr. Guinevere Q. Lee in the Department of Medicine Division of Infectious Diseases at Weill Cornell Medicine (Manhattan, NY) is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow with experience in HIV virology and/or immunology research. You will work with Dr. Guinevere Q. Lee, Assistant Professor of Virology in Medicine, to characterize global HIV strains and their genetic/phenotypic diversity in relation to viral evolution, clinical outcomes, viral transcription control, in the context of drug resistance and/or HIV vaccine/cure research. We work with collaborators from Uganda, South Africa, Japan, France, Switzerland, Canada and the US to achieve our mission of expanding research coverage to a diverse varieties of HIV strains. Job Requirements

•PhD degree in biomedical-related fields, such as molecular epidemiology, virology, immunology.

•Proficiency with molecular virology techniques such as PCR, cloning, deep sequencing •Proficiency with immunology techniques such as cell culturing, ELISA, flow cytometry

•Proficiency in statistical methods •Proficiency in bioinformatics methods Job Skills and Competencies

Salary for this position ranges from $58,500 - $66,538. Weill Cornell Medicine provides the above salary range in compliance with the New York City law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements.
