Postdoctoral Position in Chronic Disease Epidemiology

The Center for Global Health at Weill Cornell Medicine invites applications for a 2-year postdoctoral position offering unique opportunities to participate in global health epidemiology research, with a focus on the epidemiology of chronic diseases including HIV and cardiovascular diseases. The Weill Cornell Center for Global Health has research programs in the clinical epidemiology of infectious diseases, women’s health, and cardiometabolic diseases in Brazil, Tanzania, Haiti, India, and Uganda.

 The mission of our Center is to address health problems that transcend national boundaries through service, research, and training. The Center has 10 core faculty members and more than 30 collaborating faculty, and it has received continual support from the National Institutes of Health for research and training for four decades. Job Requirements

This position is for a postdoctoral fellow who has completed doctoral training in epidemiology, data science, and or biostatistics with interest in chronic disease epidemiology. The fellow will be based at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York and will have the opportunity to travel to Haiti. The fellow will work primarily with Dr. Margaret McNairy’s team on data analysis, data dissemination, and development of future research proposals. The fellow will gain experience in training and mentoring both pre- and post-doctoral students in New York and Haiti. The fellow will have opportunities for collaboration with other investigators conducting research in our Center.

 This is a unique opportunity that could launch the career of a junior investigator with a passion for global health and experience in advanced epidemiology. Our Center has an established track record of success in helping post-doctorate trainees obtain faculty positions or first NIH awards.
