We are looking for a postdoctoral research associate to join Dr. Genevieve Fouda’s research laboratory. The Fouda Lab has a special interest in assessing antibody responses to viral pathogens in children in comparison to adults following natural infection and vaccination. The position will focus on assessment of SARS CoV-2 and HIV-specific antibody responses in human pediatric cohorts or animal models.
This position presents an opportunity to work in a highly diverse and collaborative research environment and to learn the skills needed to be a leader in a research group. The Department of Pediatrics of Weill Cornell Medicine provides plenty of resources for postdoctoral trainees who wish to become faculty. You will be mentored not only by the principal investigator(s) and senior research fellows but also by a mentoring committee comprised of faculty members of your choice to guide your career development as a researcher.
Our ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. or M.D. with a strong background in virology, immunology, and/or molecular biology. We are looking for a well-rounded candidate, that not only has strong scientific writing skills, but is open to mentoring the next generation of researchers. Qualified candidates should have experience with scientific methods in immunological and/or microbiological research, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work independently in a highly collaborative environment and construct novel research hypotheses in collaboration with the principle investigator.
Our laboratory is part of the department of Pediatrics-Infectious Disease and is located on the Weill Cornell Medicine campus in New York City. Salary Range for this position is: $58,500 - $66,538. Weill Cornell Medicine provides the above salary range in compliance with the New York City law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range listed is for full‐time employment not including benefits, bonuses, or clinical incentive compensation where applicable. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, specialty, training, and hospital/community needs.
