Postdoctoral position available to work on NIH funded research on mechanisms by which activation of the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) by dioxin and natural AHR ligands leads to diverse toxic effects, in particular hepatosteatosis and thymus atrophy. Prevention and correction of toxic effects by NAD+ repleting agents is also under study.
Experience in biochemical assays, molecular techniques and prior research experience is required. It would also be desirable to have experience in handling mice and mouse studies. Applicant must be available for interview in New York.
